After all we are anonymous, but it also serves the function of taking everyone equally serious, despite age and gender.

Pointless IMO. Anonymity only hurts us on this battlefield. And if you're willing to fight against a fellow resistance member for something less than outright treason, you are an idiot.

Actually, If we aren't anonymous then outsiders can see how much of a diverse group we are. We have people from all over the world, of all different age groups, of all different economic levels. As a student I may have even more to lose than others. If I am writing a research paper then I want to have access to all of the information that I can possible find. If this passes my selection will be EXTREMELY limited, possibly to the point where it becomes more convenient to use actual books than the internet, and I certainly don't want to see that happen.

Maybe change avatar to the Guy Fawkes-mask too? While the age idea is quite good I don't feel like having a GF mask

Likewise, the anonymous comment was just a joke, we aren't chanology.
My point is that while we don't need to and don't want to become a faceless mass like anonymous, group cohesion is never a bad thing in moderation. As for what I mean, who are you going to take more seriously? An 18 year old with a good idea, or a 36 year old with an ok one. Whilst you may out of your own self-righteousness say the former, it likely is the latter.

While this is true, we need to consider the possibility that if we get enough attention that media or government will be looking at us. If they see us hiding our information we become tantamount to anonymous in their minds. Lets face it the people who are most likely to contribute to this movement are going to be between the ages of 18 and 30.

I'm still thinking that the age idea is not so bad, a teenager should be on the same level as an university professor the only parameter should be the arguments themselves not who is showing them

Honestly, it shouldn't matter. If you are serious, with well thought out posts, and intelligent comments, you'll be taken seriously. If you say BOOM HEADSHOT OBAMA, and scream the goverment is going to kill us all, we'll consider you the village idiot, and appreiciate your help, but take you less seriously.
I couldn't care less if you're a female, how old you are, etc. I care what you do here. Show you deserve what you get.
